JamesE & Mates was formed towards the end of 2023 from the inspiration of Rosco Whiting. This year Donald Mayne will be joining the band following on from his involvement with JamesE & Mates at the 2024 Jazz Convention in Longford. Greg Barker is unavailable and will be replaced by Wally Joosen on drum kit. Harvey Duff will again play Bass for the band. It is hoped that there will be guest appearances from Reg Packer and Paul Van der Koogh who are both original members of the band. James is multi-instrumental and throughout his sets he will be playing Tenor Sax, Clarinet, trumpet and vocals. The band will be playing a mix of traditional jazz and modern jazz standards.
