Featuring the flowing, melodic style of Judd Niemann on guitar, the Judd Niemann Trio presents a finely curated collection of choice jazz standards and quirky original pieces, drawing upon the influences of the great Jazz masters such as Charlie Parker, Joe Pass, and Bill Evans. With the killer grooves of Adrian Close on Bass and Rod Grieg on Drums, this tasteful and swinging trio always delivers a memorable performance.

Judd studied Jazz at Adelaide University, and was a prominent musician in the Adelaide Scene, before moving to Melbourne in 1998.

He was a finalist in the 2001 National Jazz Awards for guitar.

Whether playing bebop or swing on his seven-string archtop guitar, or rocking-out with aggressive jazz-rock tones, Judd's improvisational style is characterised by long, flowing melodic lines, and a passion for really getting "in the zone" during live performances.

Although he has had extensive training in Jazz, he can play a variety of different genres, and has a deep reverence for all forms of music - from Beethoven to Michael Brecker.
