Veteran of several Port Fairy Jazz Festivals and numerous other performances, Ashley has teamed up with talented pianist/vocalist Philip Ress to take his pursuit of the classic late night, smokey cocktail bar jazz standards to a new level.  

Leaving no stone unturned together Philip and Ashley have trawled through the back catalogues of all the classic male and female vocalists in pursuit of these musical gems. 

Some songs are known, but others somehow have been overlooked in the passing of time. 

Both having vocal skills at a high-level Ashley and Phill will be able to delight the audience with their own individual take on these beautiful tunes supported by each other's rich harmonies.  

Philip Ress – Piano/Vocals - Philip has been playing piano all his life. He started in the rock scene in the early days but quickly progressed to jazz, classical and musical theatre styles. His developed vocal ability gives him the classic piano man performance package. He also writes and composes his own music. 

Roger Evans – Guitar - Roger is a highly competent technical guitarist with a wealth of experience across all genres of music. He is also a prolific singer songer writer in his own write. His abilities allow him to bring the dulcet tones Ashley has been looking for to express his music in his own style. 

Jeff Harris – Saxophone - Jeff has been playing various genres of music including trad jazz, swing, jazz, cool jazz, backing band and brass bands for a very long time. He performs in the Port Phillip Big Band, Fat’Azz and Bop till you Drop – all regular features each year at Port Fairy.
