The Hot Five Jazz band play an exciting blend of contemporary jazz standards complemented by a growing collection of original compositions. Influenced by modern masters like Kenny Garrett, Roy Hargrove, Wayne Shorter and Sonny Rollins the band is passionate about cool, contemporary and classic jazz having just completed a recording session with James Clark Audio in the Macedon Ranges. With the brilliant twin lead lines of Graham White on trumpet and young virtuoso Brandon Appleby on alto and baritone saxophone, the combo also features band leader Keith Smith on guitar with Peter Cocklin on electric bass and Bob Mitchell on drums.
